April 30th, 2008 · 1749 Comments

Actress Kate Hudson, 29, was chosen for the cover of People magazine’s annual 100 Most Beautiful People list, on new stands Friday. Hudson most recently starred in Fool’s Gold with Matthew McConaughey (a former “Sexiest Man Alive” winner) and has been frequently spotted lately with on-again off-again boyfriend Owen Wilson. The mother of 4-year-old Ryder […]

Metallica’s 180

April 28th, 2008 · 44275 Comments

Metallica consists of two parts musician and three parts asshole. Led by their psychotic drummer, Lars Ulrich, they are now adding hypocrite to the list.
Remember that time when Napster reigned supreme and file sharing was a perfect blend of speed and seemingly endless amounts of music? Remember when Metallica ruined that? Or, at least tried.
I […]

The Museum of Menstruation- Craziest thing ever

April 28th, 2008 · 1172 Comments

I never thought that there would be a museum solely dedicated to menstruation, but apparently there was one  for many years. Unfortunately, the Museum of Menstruation, which was located in Maryland, closed down in 1999, but this article about it is hilarious.
Side note: a man ran the museum… go figure.

April 27th, 2008 · 1747 Comments

So. It’s been a long ass time since I posted anything about gaming (I’ve been kinda lazy and doing absolutely nothing productive for a week and a half–a pity, I know). Thus, to get you up-to-date, I have been playing some games just not as many as I’d like but here’s what’s been shaking as […]

Greetings.
Just wanted to remind everyone that ABC’s Ugly Betty, Grey’s Anatomy and Lost all return with new episodes tomorrow night, starting at 8 pm ET.
Some might call me a Grey’s Anatomy fanatic. That’s fine, I’m OK with that.
That said, I dug around the Internet in search of some Grey’s scoop!
Apparently, ceator/executive producer Shonda Rhimes told […]

Mariah Carey and Phil Collins

April 18th, 2008 · 1777 Comments

I’m not the biggest fan of Mariah Carey, but I have to give her props for her new music video.  Made for her single “Touch My Body,” it features Jack McBrayer, best known for his hilarious role as the nerdy paige on the sit com 30 Rock.  He plays a […]

A beautiful day in College Park

April 17th, 2008 · 1769 Comments

It’s that time of year again. Students have begun to flock on McKeldin Mall in between classes to enjoy the beautiful weather, and today was no exception. Today was gorgeous and tomorrow will be gorgeous — 79 and sunny! Basically, I am beyond excited that spring is finally here.
Here are some pictures I took today […]

NASA just got served

April 16th, 2008 · 583 Comments

Thirteen-year-old German kids are apparently really smart. I’m talking like NASA smart. Well, I guess that’s not an appropriate comparison, seeing how a 13-year-old German kid corrected NASA’s estimate of the chances that an asteroid will strike Earth in 2029. NASA, probably shamefully, re-checked their work and agreed with the kid, Nico Marquardt.
NASA originally estimated […]
